BAC Speaker on Ice Thermal Storage at ASHRAE Sacramento Valley

John Lau, the manager of Ice Thermal Storage at BAC, will be the technical guest speaker at ASHRAE Sacramento Valley chapter’s next meeting on Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 at 5:00 PM at Cattlemens in Rancho Cordova. John’s presentation will begin with the benefits of peak demand reduction for the electric grid and the environment. His discussion will also explain how ice thermal storage can be incorporated into HVAC designs to reduce cooling costs and energy consumption for the overall HVAC system. An emphasis on system components and design factors will be highlighted. Additional topics will include partial storage v.s. full storage and internal melt vs. external melt systems.
