The New CXVT Evaporative Condenser Reduces Operating Costs by up to 48% while helping to Minimize Installation Costs

Baltimore, MD (May 20th, 2014) – Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is pleased to announce the new CXVT Evaporative Condenser which reduces annual operating costs by up to 48% and helps reduce installation costs by minimizing the number of units and refrigerant connections.

The CXVT XE (Extreme Efficiency) Models are the newest addition to BAC’s CXVT Evaporative Condenser portfolio. They are tailored for projects that require extreme efficiency units to minimize operating cost, provide application assurance, and reduce sound levels. The XE Models are on average three times more efficient than the minimum energy requirements in ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2013 and two times more efficient than the minimum energy requirements in California Title 24. The XE Model reduces operating costs by up to 48% compared to induced draft counterflow style units and saves $3 million in operating cost savings over the life of the equipment for a 100,732 MBH system.

The CXVT Evaporative Condenser goes up to 2,114 R-717 tons in a single unit, making it the highest capacity condenser in the industry. With this capacity, the number of units and refrigerant connections needed on a jobsite decreases, making it an ideal choice for reducing installation costs.
