In induced draft, axial-fan products, the drive components are located in the hot, wet leaving airstream that can cause standard cast iron sheaves to corrode quickly, reducing belt life dramatically. For this application, BAC provides sheaves constructed from the same aluminum alloy as used in its fans. This assures long component life for both the sheave and belt. These are available for both driver and driven shafts and are ideal for retrofitting into units that originally had cast iron components.
