If access to the fan deck is desired, BAC can furnish ladders extending from the base of the unit to its top. As one of the alternative means of access available, BAC offers a galvanized handrail package that includes knee rails and toe boards, as well as safety gates and cages if required, providing a system that meets OSHA requirements.

Routine maintenance is not required on the fan deck surface. However, because the fan extends to the edge of the fan deck, walking from one end of the tower to the other can be difficult, should access be required. To facilitate this access, fan deck extensions are available as one means to allow a person to walk around the fan. If the tower is raised above the roof or grade, extensions can be provided for the ladder and safety cage.

BAC Maintenance Tip

Ladders and handrails are one means available for access to the top of the equipment. If the end-user elects to use this alternative, the addition to the installation will make routine maintenance easier. All BAC safety and access retrofit packages meet all applicable OSHA requirements.
